The Most Instagrammed Locations in Each Canadian Province in 2015

It’s no secret that Canadians love to use Instagram.

From sharing photos of what we eat, to the places that we’ve visited (complete with the perfect filter of course), taking snapshots and cataloging them forever was really important in 2015.

But have you ever wondered what the other Canadian provinces loved to share the most?

Well, Busbud, a Montreal-based website that allows you to compare and book city-to-city bus tickets, was wondering the same thing, so they published the most Instagrammed places in Canada by province.

British Columbia: Grouse Mountain
Grouse Mountain is the peak of Vancouver and offers stunning views of the city skyline that can only be seen from the top of the mountain. A popular attraction in the summer for hikers while in the winter Grouse attracts winter sport enthusiasts.

Alberta: Lake Louise If you’re into roaring waterfalls, emerald lakes, and snowy mountains, then exploring the rockies at Lake Louise is a must.

Saskatchewan: University of Saskatchewan
Visiting the stunning University of Saskatchewan campus can definitely result in some Instagram-worthy photos. The campus features elaborate buildings, pristine walkways, and lush gardens that are guaranteed to get you some likes.

Manitoba: Lake Winnipeg Lake Winnipeg is one of the largest lakes in Canada and features stunning scenery and wildlife views.

Ontario: Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is a huge tourist attraction; and for good reason. The breathtaking falls, scenic wildlife, and rushing waters are a constant reminder of just how wondrous the natural world is.

Quebec: Bell Centre If you’re ever in Montreal you must pay the Bell Centre a visit. Arguably the best arena to catch a hockey game, the energy and passion in this building is life changing (and very Insta-worthy).

New Brunswick: Chocolate Cove
Chocolate Cove is a hidden paradise that is perfect for exploring.

Prince Edward Island: Cavendish Beach Cavendish Beach is definitely one of the most Instagram-worthy beaches in Canada. The beach is surrounded by red sandstone cliffs, sandy dunes, and crystal blue water that is warmed by the Gulf stream.

Nova Scotia: Cabot Trail Exploring the Cabot Trail is a must have for Canadians as the scenery along the trail is mesmerizing. There’s no shortage of perfect photo spots that will result in jaw-dropping images.

Newfoundland and Labrador: Marble Mountain Located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, towering over the beautiful Humber Valley in Western Newfoundland, is Marble Mountain.  Marble Mountain is known for the best skiing on Canada’s East Coast and has the highest vertical drop of any ski area in Atlantic Canada.

Yukon: Yukon Wildlife Preserve The Yukon Wildlife Preserve is a unique wildlife viewing property that features 10 species of northern Canadian mammals in their natural environment. With over 700 acres of various natural habitats, the Yukon Wildlife Preserve is the perfect place to capture stunning images.

Northwest Territories: Aurora Village Aurora Village offers the best views of the Aurora lights. While visiting you can also take part in snowshoeing, dogsledding, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and aerial wildlife viewing tours.

Nunavut: Baffin Island Baffin Island is a grand wild landscape and the spectacular homeland of Inuit. While visiting, make sure to have your camera ready as you can see polar bears, white belugas, and tusked narwhal.
