Last Call: Former Target Employees Sing Perfect Rendition of ‘Closing Time’

Some people coped better than others when Target up and left Canada after arriving just two years prior.

While almost 18,000 were left stranded without jobs – and then found out outgoing Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel received a higher payout than all those unemployed combined to add insult to injury – a few West Coast employees performed a musical tribute to signal the chain’s departure.

And what a fitting tribute it was.

Amidst an expanse of empty shelves and boxes, five employees of Target in Victoria, B.C. rendered a makeshift performance of Semisonic’s Closing Time as they wheeled around their former place of work.

What a great way to say ‘good riddance’…
