When you meet Catie Fenn, it’s immediately apparent why so many people turn to her for help getting “unstuck” in their lives.
For this special mini series we’ve partnered with Aaron Parker of “The Lucky Few” podcast and Aguamiel Tequila to speak with courageous individuals who’ve cast off their traditional 9-5 jobs to boldly pursue what can only be defined as dream jobs. These dreamers and doers exercise skills in photography, blogging, graphic design, and digital marketing – often all within the span of a day.
Former Bachelor Canada star Catie Fenn was living what many would call “the dream.” She was a highly successful litigation lawyer in downtown Toronto with the perfect boyfriend and apartment to match. Even though she had achieved what society would define as “success,” she was feeling unfulfilled. It was only when she had accomplished everything she thought she wanted that she began to ask herself the seriously difficult question of why it still wasn’t enough to make her happy. Through a lot of inward reflection and by being brutally honest with herself, she’s carved out her own career by helping other high-performers (or “recovering overachievers,” as she likes to call them) get to the heart of their own issues.
In this week’s episode, Catie talks about the moments she knew she was on the wrong path and how she transitioned into the career she’s in now. She also spills why she decided to go on the Bachelor, and what the experience taught her about herself – including one thing she didn’t anticipate that ended up being the most difficult part. Listen to her walk you through how you can start to take steps to get “unstuck” or simply find more happiness in your day to day life.
