WORK

1. Describe what you do in less than 140 characters. Go.
I am a business creative problem solver.

2. What was the inspiration for your career route?
The notion of creating stuff was and still is my inspiration. I stay inspired daily through various creative outlets and people.  Human behaviour is a big interest of mine, especially analyzing how individuals react in different situations.

3. What is the most memorable milestone in your career so far?
The most memorable moment of my career was launching my agency, VIBRANT, nine years ago.

4. Where do you see yourself in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years?
My ultimate career objective is to manage and oversee a marketing agency network across the globe.

5. Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
Always keep the number one rule of marketing in your back pocket; keep and deliver on the promises you make.

6. Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is it (or they) important to you?
VIBRANT supports many Breakfast Club of Canada initiatives though our client National Bank. Ensuring kids start their day with a full stomach and a clear mind is crucial to building our future leaders.

7. What is one major challenge that you’ve had to overcome in your career? How did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge has been bringing together a multidisciplinary team in two different languages, with different objectives.  Between the teams in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, optimizing collaboration is always a challenge. I find “over communication” and being precise in expectations helps with this challenge. Also, don’t be afraid to invest in your company’s social culture and build strong internal relationships.

8. What does the word notable mean to you?
Notable to me is somebody or something that gets acknowledged because they walk the talk.

PLAY

1. Where is your favourite place to wine/ dine in your city and why?
My favourite spot is the Burgundy Lion Pub in Montreal. I love their beer selection and I am a sucker for pub food, especially their fish and chips.

2. What’s the most visited website on your Internet browser? The most played song on your phone?
I am a huge movie buff, so the Hollywood Reporter is a daily go-to for me.

I love the whole Wilder Mind album by Mumford and Sons. My favourite song on the album is Monster. Check it out!

3. Who’s one person you think everyone should be following on social media?
Seth Godin is awesome. His insights on marketing, relationship building, and simplifying marketing functions inspire me. You can always count on him for a good read.

4. What’s your favourite country to visit and why? And what’s the next one you plan on travelling to?
I love Jamaica. The culture and laid-back attitude of the island make for the best holidays. I am traveling to France soon on business and can’t wait.

5. What gives you the greatest FOMO?
I am a huge Raptors fan, and I can’t stand missing a game!

6. What’s your guiltiest pleasure?
I am a comic book nerd so collecting comics has to be my guiltiest pleasure.  My Atomic Robo and Batman collections are awesome.

7.  What’s something you wish you didn’t spend so much money on? What’s something you wish you spent more on?
Guilty enough, I should spend a lot less on collecting comics. On the other hand, my office is quite minimalist; I could definitely spend more on it.

8. And finally, what does success look like to you? Work, play, or otherwise…
Success is when you are able to build and create stuff with the people that you like and share it with people that you love.
