Bond Martini Thursdays

Toronto kicked off the North American premiere of the much-anticipated Designing 007: Fifty Years of Bond Style at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on Friday…and what a more appropriate way to celebrate than with a martini? On our favourite day of the week (Thursday), starting tomorrow (November 1st) and running until January 17, 2013, Notable.ca, along with The Grid, present “Bond Martini Thursdays,” every Thursday at seven (007) restaurants located in the King and John area of downtown Toronto.

Enjoy a well-deserved après work Bond theme martini at a participating restaurant and receive a 20% off coupon to check out the exhibition. Participating restaurants include YP favourites like the TIFF Lounge served by Oliver and Bonacini, Gabby’s on King, HUSH, The Ritz Carlton Toronto, Hey Lucy, Fred’s Not Here and Marben. These fine establishments are sure to impress with their own spin on the Bond Martini, with colourful names like The Octopussy (Gabby’s), Casino Royale (Hush) and The Vanquish (Hey Lucy). After your martini and maybe some munchies, head on over to the world-class exhibition, where, with a slight martini buzz, you can check out things like Solitaire’s dress, the golden gun with the bullets etched with 007, Oddjob’s razor-edged hat, a lifelike recreation of Jill Masterson’s golden body, an assortment of actual costumes and storyboards, and the poker table from Casino Royale.

Martini Thursdays run November 1st to January 17th.
