If uploading a new profile picture to Facebook has lost its allure, that may soon change.
As of yesterday, Facebook users in California and the United Kingdom were given access to the platforms newest feature: the ability to upload a GIF as your profile pic.
Melia Robinson of Tech Insider offered a glimpse of how the seven-second rolling video profiles will look:
Users will also be able to add temporary profile photos that will display for a selected period of time before returning to their standard picture, and there’s also room for a 101-character-or-less bio at the top of the profile. Only available to select users, the new features will be universally accessible over the coming months.
