WOW Air Just Announced it Will Offer $99 Flights to Iceland, and $149 Flights to Europe in 2016

Well, they certainly are trying to live up to their name, we’ll give them that.

Attempting to make a splash in the Canadian market, discount airline WOW Air just released a 2016 plan to fly from Montreal or Toronto to Iceland for $99 and London, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Dublin for just $149.

The response has been so overwhelming the site continues to crash.

Even keeping in mind that these are all just one way ticket prices and that everything else costs extra (as in, your ticket gets you a seat on a plane that is flying to that destination, that’s it – expect ZERO frills) that’s still one hell of a deal. Especially considering these prices include taxes and fees.

The Icelandic airline, launched in 2011, has been steadily servicing European passengers for the past four years and began service in the U.S. last year. But this Canadian move is a pretty big one. Flights – all via Reykjavik – will begin flying out of Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport in Montreal on May 12, 2016, and a week later from  Lester B. Pearson airport in Toronto on May 20, 2016.

WOW, indeed.
