Whatever your politics, we’re pretty damn lucky to live in Canada.
And despite our worldwide reputation for being polite, sometimes we have to step up to the mic and pat ourselves on the back. Well, Alana Phillips has done that for all of us.
On Wednesday night, she posted a “perhaps even a little bit smug” Facebook photo about the new Canadian Cabinet Ministers that’s been sweeping across the country faster than the Liberals on election night. As of writing this article, the photo has more than 26,000 shares.
Once the photo started to pick up steam, Phillips posted another photo to let everyone know that had she known it was going to ‘go viral’, she probably would have done some more in-depth fact checking. And, rather smartly, added that she’s also available for hire:
But it turns out one list was not enough for Canada and, in a very strange twist to the story, another woman in Newfoundland wrote her own list at right around the same time. And it currently has almost 20,000 shares:
From coast to coast, it looks like we have the right to be a little smug right now.
