Calgary was on the international stage so to speak on Saturday, October 20, to celebrate Paul Hardy’s 10th Anniversary, as well as the reveal of his 2013 collection.
Prior to the event, guests were welcomed with a brunch hosted at River Cafe, where Hardy shared some remarks about his career and upcoming collection.
The main event was held at Hardy’s studio space, and the room was filled with media from all over the globe, the city’s favourite bloggers, as well as many of Paul Hardy’s personal friends and colleagues. It may have been a blustery day outside, but that didn’t stop anyone who was fortunate enough to be invited from attending.
Guests mingled over glasses of bubbles and canapés courtesy of River Cafe at the VIP Meet and Greet Reception, hosted by none other than Brett Wilson, who shared his excitement about being involved.
The most exciting part of the evening was, of course, fashion show itself. The room was transformed into an exclusive and intimate runway and Notable had a front row seat for the action.
The theme of his collection was ‘Amish in the City’, a concept echoed throughout the show. Models walked the runway to live performances by Paul Brandt & wife Liz Brandt, Juno Award-winner Greg Sczebel, Among Savages, Peter Barbee and members of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.
Post-show, guests were treated to an exclusive after party, which featured Calgary’s finest chefs and mixologists from some of our favourite hot spots, including Ox and Angela, Nicole Gourmet, and Charcut, to name a few.
