7 Childhood Commercial Jingles You’ll Never Forget

The fast-talking Micro Machine Man, Brian Austin Green’s Eggo Minis enthusiasm, The “Noxema Girls” getting noticed, and Roberto Alomar “catching the taste” – all TV commercial icons of days past, perhaps during Saturday morning cartoons or episodes of Full House or Growing Pains

Perhaps the most memorable of the old school commercials were the ones with jingles…which we guarantee will be stuck in your head all day if you watch them again now…

1. Remember when this Coca-Cola jingle pretty much became the anthem of summer? It even replaced traditional summer camp songs in the cabin.

2. What kid didn’t want a Power Wheels car? The jealously of your friend who had one only became worse when the commercial jingle got stuck in your head after Saturday morning cartoons.

3. Were we the only ones who tried to re-enact this commercial on our school stairs when the playground got boring? Hey, at the time, McDonalds really was “great times” and “great taste.”

4. Or the time that a Big Red made everything “last a little longer” and pretty much promised a relationship?

5. The Polly Pocket jingle reminded you of both what you would ask for your birthday and the fact that the teeny tiny dolls were now living inside your vacuum.

6. Thanks to this jingle, even when it “teeters and it totters” you wouldn’t give up while playing Jenga.

7. If Jenga wasn’t your thing, maybe Connect Four was, and you could “go for the glory” and “go for the score…”

Don’t say we didn’t warn you about the whole stuck in your head all day thing. How old do you feel now?
