Today’s Notable 3some in Toronto: July 21, 2014

Here’s a trio of the hottest things you can do on the second last Monday in July.*

Katy Perry
Where: ACC
When: 7:00pm

We’ve already used up all of our roar jokes… probably because this is Miss Perry’s third show in the last four nights. But the reviews suggest the Prismatic World Tour is an experience for your eyes as much as your ears. This is the current Queen of Pop at the top of her wig-and-outfit-changing game. In fact, she even proved her skills yesterday on her day off.

The F-Word
Where: Scotiabank Theatre
When: 7:00pm

Harry Potter has a new movie. Only this time, Daniel Radcliffe is dealing with the sorcery that is modern dating. (And apparently last-minute Hollywood name changes). Whether it ends up being called What If or The F-Word, we’re all about red carpets that lead to Toronto getting some sweet screen time. Hit the premiere tonight and you won’t just catch Radcliffe, you’ll also see the movie weeks before anyone else.

Cook/Book
Where: Windup Bird Cafe
When: 6:30pm

This is your literary option of the night – and it comes with food. We already told you that you should check out the bookish Windup Bird Cafe on College St., and if you haven’t yet, tonight offers the perfect occasion. One of Canada’s most respected writers, Toronto poet laureate George Elliott Clarke will be in the kitchen cooking up his favourite dishes and discussing the relationship between food, writing, and life.

*Of course, no one would blame you for staying in with your iPhone to show the world your vision.
