A man with four daughters probably hears how #blessed he is to have such a wonderful life all the time.
And, sure, he is blessed and it is wonderful.
But it’s also a damn nightmare. From having ‘The Talk’ four times to transportation logistics, crying at quadruple the magnitude (when one does, they all do, right?), finding enough food in the world to feed everyone, and, of course, bath time, there are a lot of details people don’t see in this “perfect life.”
So what better way to present the reality of life with four daughters than on Instagram, where everything is usually pink peonies for new parents.
Simon Hooper created @father_of_daughers to give people an idea of what it’s like to raise a nine-year-old, six-year-old, and newborn baby twins – all girls. His Instagram account has almost 200,000 followers.
“My whole account is to show a realistic view of what parenting is like from a parent’s perspective,” he says. “There is way too much sugarcoating when it comes to parents, so I wanted to share what it’s really like and provide a bit of humour at the same time.”
