Sun Run

The Vancouver Sun Run is a 10k race held in Vancouver every year since 1985. The race is Canada’s largest 10K road race and is now the 2nd largest timed 10K in the world. The route is a beautiful scenic course, which begins in Vancouver’s downtown core at Burrard Street and Georgia Street. Last year, 60,000 people registered for the Sun Run. The Sun Run was founded by former Canadian Olympians Dr. Doug and Diane Clement along with Dr. Jack Taunton, with the purpose to promote the benefits of running to improve health and fitness in addition to support elite amateur athletics. Every $1.00 for every registration goes to the Raise-a-Reader Charity.

You can register by mail, fax or online. If you enter online, you will receive an e-mail message confirming your registration. Mailed entries must be postmarked by April 6, 2012. Online and fax registration closes April 10, 2012 at midnight. After April 11, 2012 you can register in person only on April 12, 13 & 14, 2012 at the Sun Run Fair @ BC Place Stadium, Vancouver, BC.
