Start Booking: Trip Advisor Just Released Their Top 10 Islands of 2015

For many of us who’ve endured a painfully brutal Canadian winter, an island getaway sounds pretty amazing right about now.

After all, it snowed in Toronto yesterday.

Well, Trip Advisor has just released their Travelers’ Choice Top Islands of 2015 – and it’s tempting us to splurge on a trip. (And possibly never come back…)

The #1 spot goes to Providenciales, or “Provo,” the most populated of the Turks and Caicos islands. Moving up from a second place finish last year, Provo is known for its miles of pristine, white sand shoreline, including Grace Bay. Hailed as one of the best beaches on the planet, Grace Bay is home to many upscale resorts that overlook the turquoise water.

A long coral reef also makes the area an attractive spot for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts.

When it comes to a vacation, you can expect luxury in Provo, as opposed to a cheap and cheerful, cookie cutter all-inclusive getaway.

For a break from the beach, you can hit one of the many restaurants that you’ll want to write home about, enjoy a day at the spa, do some damage on your credit card in the shops, or play a round of golf at a championship caliber golf course.

Here are the rest of the islands; how many have you checked off your list? And how many will you?

1. Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
2. Maui, Hawaii
3. Roatan, Honduras
4. Santorini, Greece

5. Ko Tao, Thailand
6. Madeira, Portugal
7. Bali, Indonesia
8. Mauritius, Africa
9. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

10. Fernando do Noronha, Brazil
