Now Open: The Beer Academy

The Beer Academy recently opened up in the old Duggan’s Brewery. Yes, it is as it sounds. From Six Pints Specialty Beer Co – the craft beer division of Molson Coors which counts Creemore Springs and Granville Island on its roster – The Beer Academy is bridging the gap between drinking, buying, and learning about beer.

The space is ample, with on-site beers micro-brewing away. These are also available for purchase on-site, so grab a growler and fill it with some craft beer goodness. The Beer Academy has an educational aspect as well, with guided tastings, informational sessions, and the like for those looking to barley on up on their knowledge of all things brew-worthy.

Currently, they have four beers conditioning and getting ready for packaging. An IPA (which seems to be all the rage in Toronto these days), Kolsch Blond Ale, Dortmunder Lager, and a Black Lager.

The Beer Academy boasts 9,000 sq. ft. of space for their endeavours. Experiential tastings will be part and parcel of events. The Beer Cafe is a spot you can grab a pint of your favourite brew, and the tasting room and beer shop are, well, just that. Any beer lover needs to hop (get it?) on over and check out The Beer Academy.
