Billy Elliot the Musical
The Tony Award-winning team is bringing Billy Elliot the Musical to the SAIT’s Jube this weekend. Enjoy Elton John’s score as you follow the boy’s journey from the boxing ring to ballet class. Based on the Academy Award-nominated film, the inspirational British story could inspire you to find your own hidden passion. The show runs Thursday through Sunday the 31st. The Latin funny lady from Los Angeles will be at The Laugh Shop Comedy Club March 29 – 30. She’s a radio and TV personality popular for her he said, she said quips. April Fools Parade
The Green Fools Theatre presents the 23th annual April Fool’s Day Parade on April 1, 2013 at 4pm. The theatre group’s processional will feature costumes, stilt walkers, bikes and bag pipers, no joke. TransCanada Alberta Music Series
Four themed music series are set for April 3 – 6 in the EPCOR CENTRE’s Engineered Air Theatre. Check out the Folk Roots, Indie Rock, Mix Tape and Pop Art Sessions as Alberta’s best and brightest grace the stage each night starting at 7:30 pm. The series showcases this province’s vibrant and diverse music scene with the likes of storytellers Lucky Sonne (April 3), acoustic hard folker Chris Gheran (April 4), soulful rock-roots singer WiL (April 5) and smoldering Nuela Charles.
