Must Try: THR&Co.

The highly anticipated THR&Co. has opened its doors to a public in revery – we now have two locations where we can dine on dishes approved by Chef Cory Vitiello. (He still heads the kitchen at The Harbord Room, and has placed a strong team in place at THR&Co.)

The room is sexy and sultry. Minimal decor that has architectural lines is accented by the perfect mix of ambient lighting. Sitting in the room offers a cosmopolitan sensuality, perfect for first dates or one of those we-need-to-talk-but-I-swear-it’s-a-good-talk dinners.

The menu is a consortium of trends. Pizza? It’s there, but in lieu of standard fare you’ll find nettles and ricotta or Merguez sausage. Pasta? Handmade, and with braised oxtail or poblano ash. Tartare? It comes in the form of finely chopped beef heart with green olive relish and espelette mayo.

THR&Co. aims to be a more accessible version of The Harbord Room, its next-door sister restaurant. Sipping a cocktail at the U-shaped bar is the perfect seat to see prime mixology – the cocktail menu may not be robust but its selections are nonetheless intriguing – work hand-in-hand with culinary creativity.

With a patio that almost doubles the seating opening in the near future, Harbord Street’s newest digs will be one of the hottest spots in the summer. Ladies and gents, it’s time to introduce yourself to THR&Co.
