Fashionistas and Kate Moss worshippers, mark your calendars for April 30th because that will be the coveted day that Kate Moss and TOPSHOP will launch their spring/summer 2014 collection, an eclectic mix of pieces encapsulating the British fashion icon’s unique and revered vintage style.
Unlike her previous Kate Moss TOPSHOP collections, Kate has worked hard with the TOPSHOP design and buying teams to deliver this updated and more premium collection – re-establishing her as the true British fashion icon.
Key design categories for this collection begin with Balearic Dressing, a reflection of Kate’s love for the Balearic Islands. It comes as a series of carefully embroidered smock-tops, silk blouses and a white kaftan that is based on a vintage find she wears every summer.
Pajama dressing adds a totally new element to the Kate Moss TOPSHOP range. Silk satin sourced in London’s Soho carries two distinct prints: a subtle, distorted floral design and a vivid Oriental-inspired flower pattern.
Cocktail Hour is flirtatious and sexy with hemlines either slashed at the thigh or falling to the floor.
Tailoring Noir introduces a beautiful selection of tailoring including tuxes and trouser suits in black and black gold metallic mixes, a bias cut liquid metallic lame dress and lame floral printed shirts, offering a chic, smart alternative to dressing up for a summer evening.
“I love the whole process of designing, from hanging out with the girls on the design team, building the concept, getting excited about seeing the various stages of sampling, making tweaks and improvements, and then seeing the final collection coming together,” said Moss of the collaboration.
This collection is available exclusively at Hudson’s Bay at all TOPSHOP stores, TOPSHOP capsules, and 13 additional locations nationwide. The full assortment will also be available online here.
