The Mystery Hour, a pretty fantastic comedy show, put a spotlight on the lives of these often under-appreciated personal blogger accessories in a recent video titled ‘Instagram Husband’.
It really makes you feel for these dudes – they used to eat food; now, they just take pictures of it. Their favourite sports are now Snapseed and VSCO Cam, and Sundays are reserved exclusively for location scouting. And they sure as hell can’t drink their coffee before it gets cold anymore either.
More than just an exposé on this rapidly emerging demographic, The Mystery Hour also aims to assist Instagram Husbands in approaching their wives, building a supportive community, and providing help. It lets these men know there’s more to life than feigning excitement over golden hour and loose waves, and that it’s OK to say, “hey, what the f*ck am I doing this for?”
