With 1.5 billion users, Facebook’s annual ‘Year in Review‘ can pretty much be considered the definitive Year in Review of the World in general.
The Western World, anyway.
Ok, maybe just the United States.
The Year in Review looks at literally everything that shaped life in 2015 based on activity across the social network, covering topics like the best TV shows, places, and athletes, as well as the events that dominated our newsfeeds. They’re essentially congruent with what received the most airtime on CNN, which is to say overwhelmingly negative – from the fight against ISIS to the Greek debt crisis.
The most talked about event, however, may be the saddest state of affairs of all: the U.S. presidential election. Here’s the top 10:
