CreationsOfLA: Today’s Notable Young Entrepreneur

Photographer, designer, videographer, visual director, brand manager, all-around artist – no matter the title you apply, CreationsOfLA‘s creative work is an inspiration for others in a crowd of other creators. Even Snoop Dogg will vouch for that…

Elevator Pitch: Describe your job in a nutshell.
I am a visual artist and director. I end up doing a lot more than what my “title” suggests but, essentially it falls into creating art in film and photography.

Why did you start working at your company? What was the inspiration for this career route?
For me it began without the intention of doing what I do. Filming and taking pictures for fun ended up being my full-time job, I didn’t expect it to take this route but I am beyond grateful it has. I had no clue of the technicalities of the cameras I held when I started; but when you enjoy something, it becomes easy.

What is the best part of what you do on a day-to-day basis? The most challenging part?
Challenging myself to create something better than the day before, and the most challenging part is to keep up with this challenge.

What is one sign that you’ve seen over the years to suggest that your work/life balance is off?
There have been no signs, my work is life and my life is work.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
There are so many possibilities I don’t foresee, but I like to focus on what’s happening now to build up to whatever may happen to me in five years.

What does success look like to you? Does Money = Happiness?
Money isn’t the objective; it’s a tool to help achieve what one wants. To me, God, family, art, and friends = happiness.

What is the most memorable milestone in your career?
Being able to sit down with Snoop Dogg last weekend to discuss future projects we will be working on together.

Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
Create a portfolio and brand your image before you introduce yourself to others you want to work with. It will help easily create jobs for you.

Where is your favourite place to wine/dine in your city and why?
I am a homebody; it’s from the studio to my place, from my place to the studio. I avoid going out to eat as well to teach myself how to cook.

When you’re not working how do you love to spend your “Me” time?
My me time is spending time creating art. I don’t consider what I do working, so if I end up having a free time I utilize that time by creating more visuals.

Where is your favourite place to travel? Why?
After the world tour I have completed this summer, the #12MonthsOfSummer project, which is found on my YouTube channel, Dubai has been by far my favourite spot to visit.

If you had to choose a theme song, what would it be?
There are too many songs to pick and choose from. Every day has its own mood, so I can’t specifically put a finger on one.

If you weren’t doing what you’re doing, what would you be doing?
I have always loved fashion, I think I would be full-time designing clothes.

Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is that important to you?
At the moment I am not a part of any charities, I am still searching for the right one.

What to you is notable?
The notable ones are those who create and become a brand and use this image to become an inspiration for others in a crowd of other creators.

Blackberry, iPhone, Android, or Other?
iPhone, and some days with a flip phone.
