If you were out of town for the long weekend and missed the first Celebration of Light fireworks spectacular (courtesy of China), be sure to catch the shows this week! Unlike past light competitions spanning several weeks, this year wraps on August 6th. Pick your prime beachside spot along the downtown waterfront in advance of the 10PM start time – and congregate with thousands of other Vancouverites looking to enjoy the summer weather that finally seems to have arrived. Spain is set to electrify the sky on August 3rd with a performance titled “Odyssey” and, on August 6th, Canada’s grand finale, “Then & Now” is sure to ignite a patriotic fire of its own.
