An Experience I Won’t Forget

“Julian, what city are you in?” has now become just part of the everyday conversation when chatting with colleagues, clients, and friends. I’m always on the go; I’m wheeling, moving, experiencing and growing Notable.ca for our readers.

With the amount of travel and entertaining I do on the regular, it’s time to be smart with how I choose to travel. I’ll be the first to admit it’s one of the things I’ve neglected for quite some time. It’s almost as if American Express heard my thoughts – for the next few months, I’ll be test driving their Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card.

On behalf of Notable, I’ll be earning and burning Starpoints as I use my new Amex SPG Card to purchase some of the things that – aside from Notable – I live for. I’m talking about skiing, travelling, dining and, of course, some R&R at arguably the top hotel in Whistler.

With the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from Amex, I will be earning 10,000 Welcome Bonus Starpoints, which fully hooks me up for up to three free nights’ stay at Starwood properties. The card also offers travel insurance and a ton of bigger and better perks for just using the credit card the same way that I have been using the one I currently have. Only now, I’ll be earning Starpoints that I can put towards weekend trips away at some of the top Starwood properties around the world.

With this card, I receive Front Of The Line Access. This means that my Amex gets me advanced access to some of the hottest concerts and shows. I’ll definitely be using that for a few upcoming concerts. Right now, I’ve got my eye on John Legend in Vancouver on November 24th, and possibly one of my old-time favourites, the Barenaked Ladies, in Calgary on January 21st. The other unique thing the card offers me is the ability to use my hard-earned Starpoints to bid on exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences through the Moments program. These can include VIP concert experiences, red carpet access, or meet and greets with athletes – it doesn’t get cooler than that!

As a frequent traveller, signing up for this card is a no-brainer. I’m looking forward to rewarding myself with an adventure to Whistler on my Starpoints. Considering I just pulled off my first double black diamond at Mont Tremblant last season, it’s going to definitely be a challenge… but I’m up for it. I’ll keep you posted with another update from the slopes!

Until then, ladies and gents, stay Notable.
