Just last week the magazine declared that Toronto was a foodie hotspot, while earlier this year they talked about how to spend the perfect day in Vancouver, and in 2014 the magazine said Toronto’s Queen Street West was the second best neighbourhood in the world to live in. But this time, the magazine has shared the many reasons – specifically the eclectic shops and countless dining options – why Victoria, BC needs to be at the top of your weekend getaway bucket list.

The article details the best of what to see, do, and eat while you’re there for a perfect weekend away. From exploring the trendy streets of the LoJo district with its brightly painted Victorian-era shops and boutiques to exploring the beautiful grounds of British Columbia’s lieutenant governor.

But what really sets Victoria apart from its Vancouver neighbour is that it’s transitioning from being a college and retirement town into a hip and trendy locale.
