Somebody Made a Bike Helmet That Looks Exactly Like Lego Hair and We Want One ASAP

While there are numerous benefits to wearing a helmet while cycling, let’s face it: they are not the most attractive things out there.

Of course, preventing serious brain trauma is totally worth the price of looking dorky, but if you have to wear a helmet, couldn’t they at least be a little more fun?

Thankfully, advertising agency DBB and Danish design firm MOEF have teamed up to create the bike helmet of our childhood dreams.

They’ve designed a prototype bicycle helmet that looks just like LEGO hair and it’s amazing.

According to a blog post by Moef, the motivation behind the helmet was to create a piece of safety equipment that kids would actually want to wear. They digitized the hair using 3D scanning and used a 3D printer to create a prototype that would be the right size for a children’s helmet.

However, considering how nostalgic most millennials are for toys of the past (adult colouring books, anyone?), we think they should definitely look into making this helmet in large sizes.

Plus, what better way to enjoy Canada’s new bike path than with a snazzy LEGO-inspired helmet?

Let’s hope LEGO actually gives them permission to turn this prototype into a real product.
