Sole Envy: Christian Louboutin’s Newest Collection Promises a ‘Nude’ for Every Woman

Christian Louboutin continues to put his best foot forward.

Earlier this week the luxury shoe designer revealed his newest shoe, a Parisian inspired ballet flat, (dubbed the Solasofia) to his pre-existing nude collection — proving that women don’t need sky-high heels to make their legs look longer.

Louboutin’s latest collection comes in a range of seven shades, from “fair blush” to “rich chestnut,” allowing women from around the world to finally be able to properly match their shoes to their skin tone.

On Instagram the designer wrote, “This spring, two new hues join our Nudes collection to create a spectrum of seven suited to any skin tone, from porcelain to deep chocolate,” promising “a nude for every woman.”

The new shoes are made from flexible matte Nappa leather, which mimic the feeling of skin. Creating shoes out of this soft leather allows them to nearly disappear on the leg.

You can expect to see a lot more of the designer’s trademark red soles throughout the city, as Toronto’s first free standing Christian Louboutin store, is set to open later this year. We’re hoping that this new collection will be available in the Yorkville store, but if they’re not, you can purchase them online.

Equal representation is something we hope never goes out of style.
