Elevator Pitch: Describe your job in a nutshell.
Alexis is a real estate agent who `Sells Real Estate with Style’. She does this by ensuring that your needs will be met no matter how big or small your dream property may be. She tries to ensure that your needs and lifestyle are fulfilled and does it with style and grace.

Why did you start working at your company? What was the inspiration for this career route?
The company I work for is one of the most prestigious real estate firms in the Lower Mainland and I wanted to align myself with the best.

The inspiration for my career route was when I was working at my dad’s law firm setting up a rental property for a client and the realtor said to me that I would make such an amazing realtor, and perhaps instead of choosing  a career in law I should go into real estate. I thought about it and came to the conclusion, “what better job could I have?” I get to dress up, look at real estate and make people happy. My family has always bought and sold real estate and revenue-producing properties, so it made good sense to me that this was a dream job for me.

What is the best part of what you do on a day-to-day basis? The most challenging part?
The best part of my day to day job is getting to be apart of my clients’ lives. Every client truly becomes like an extended family of mine. It is about building a relationship that lasts a lifetime with good memories and good friendships.  The most challenging part of the job is solving my clients’ problems and fulfilling their dreams.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In the next 5 years I see myself investing in a real estate development project.

What does success look like to you?
A person who is successful is someone who has a hard work ethic, is humble, sincere and has a good heart. True success is being happy in what you do.  When you do it well and enjoy it, you will always make your clients happy and put a smile on their face.

What is the most memorable milestone in your career?
Continually meeting interesting people is a daily milestone in my business.

Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
Never underestimate the value of a hard work ethic, a good heart, and a sense of humour. I always say ‘don’t make a promise you can’t keep and keep all promises you make’.  I may be wrong, but I am never in doubt. Promptness is a sign of respect.

Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is that important to you?
Alexis has been on the board and a committee member of numerous charities in the city. It is important for her to be involved in charities because it builds and shapes a better community and a better world  for us to live in.
