YP Hot Spot: 3030 Dundas West

Surprise, surprise: Yet another new restaurant has opened up on Dundas West. Named simply for its location, 3030 Dundas West is a new resto/bar/music hall that’s bringing a heightened hype to the neighbourhood.

Industrial yet homey, this new spot focuses on a small snacks menu – with weekend brunch to boot – that’s a fusion of gourmet and comfort. Think butter chicken wings and prawn fritters. The space is large with a decent sized stage in the back for live music.

3030 doubles as an almost adult playground, with board games galore and a pinball machine for a retro throwback. Speaking of retro, there’s a vintage TV set in plainsight with on-the-floor seating like when you were a kid. Very apropos given the joint’s run by a family.

Expect 3030 Dundas West to become more of a hotspot than it already has in the short time since its opening. The kitchen is helmed by a former Grand Electric-er, so you’re basically guaranteed continually good grub, even though you may be just showing up to watch a band or try your hand at a match of Taboo.
