Your Kate Moss Inspired New Year’s Eve Fashion List

New Year’s Eve is the year’s best excuse to dress up.

The only trouble is that it’s tomorrow night and you still haven’t found the perfect outfit.

Well, who better to turn to than one style icon that every woman looks to for fashion advice: Kate Moss.

From sparkles to leather, lace to feathers, Kate’s look is always timeless and chic. So we took inspiration from the ultimate cool girl and put together 16 of our favourite New Year’s Eve worthy outfits inspired by Kate-the-Great…

1. Winter White
Stand out among all the little black dresses this New Year’s Eve in vibrant winter white. Kate Moss wore this winter white look at The Moet & Chandon Etoile Awards party at the Park Lane Hotel in London.

2. Sparkle
Everyone love’s a little sparkle on New Year’s. Check out this sequined Balmain dress Kate wore to a jewellery launch in London.

3. Sequin Blazer
If it’s good enough for the cover of Vogue, it’s good enough for you to ring in the New Year with. Kate donned this sequin blazer on the cover of the December/January issue of Paris Vogue in 2005. Instead of going for the editorial, racy, shirtless look that Kate has gone for, try a simple blouse and a pair of tailored, black trousers.

4. Leather Pants
One of Kate Moss’s wardrobe staples is a pair of leather pants. Leather pants aren’t only perfect for Canadian weather, but they help you to look sleek and chic on New Year’s Eve, particularly when paired with a slip tank and a silk lapel blazer like Kate has done.

5. Tone on Tone
Tone on tone is one of the biggest trends right now. Kate was ahead of the trends in 2011 when she wore a formfitting gray dress with a gray jacket and two-tone gray heels when she dined at the exclusive Wolseley in London. Topping off your look with a Fur (or Faux Fur) jacket adds additional glamour to the ensemble.

6. Ladylike Lace
Lace automatically adds romance, femininity, and sophistication to any look. Kate attended the opening of James Brown’s new hair salon in 2009 wearing a long-sleeve, mini lace dress.

7. Jumpsuit
The jumpsuit is the perfect alternative for a woman who wants to stay warm and avoid a too-short, too-sequined New Year’s dress. Aside from the minimalistic, chic look it displays, a jumpsuit gives off unassuming sex appeal.

8. Feathers
Is there anything more glamorous than feathers? The most stylishly iconic women can be remembered exhibiting feather features with their ensembles.

9. Go Gold
Gold is one of the most common colours to wear on New Year’s Eve because gold is supposed to represent good health & good fortune. Kate Moss wore a gorgeous gold frock courtesy of her designer pal, Marc Jacobs as she launched her new book Kate: The Kate Moss Boo.

10. Monochromatics
Monochromatic outfits are anything but mundane. When worn correctly, a monochromatic outfit can look classy and elegant. Kate paired her black sequin dress and white fur coat with tights to create the perfect cold-weather evening ensemble while celebrating her 38th birthday at the Dorchester Hotel.

11. Lady in Red
Not much is sexier than a red dress. The red dress that Kate wore at the launch of her new Top Shop fashion line at the Oxford Circus store in London in 2007 speaks louder than words. The colour conveys confidence, attention, and desire.

12. Suit Up
For a sophisticated yet fun look, opting for a metallic suit like Kate did at her Kate Moss: The Collection auction at Christie’s last year is sure to turn heads.

13. Prints
Kate doesn’t often wear prints but a bold, silk mini dress paired with statement earrings channels the seventies and tells the world that you are ready to party. Kate wore her Alexander McQueen Spring 2015 Kansai-print kimono dress to the 2014 British Fashion Awards at the London Coliseum.

14. Accessorize
Kate Moss is a big fan of the LBD but to make her outfit truly stand out, she turns to accessories. Kate wore a fringed, black dress with a waist belt and a yellow clutch to add some colour while she went out to support her rock star husband Jamie Hince, as he played a set with his band The Kills.

15. Gold Tunic
In 2011 at the Fred Jewelry launch during Paris Fashion Week, Kate made an entrance with a typically sporty and casual, yet still glamorous look. Kate paired black leggings with a gold tunic top and pointy-toed pumps. If you want a warm and convenient outfit but don’t want to eliminate the flash, then the perfect solution is to pair a bold top with classic and comfortable bottoms.

16. Thigh High Slits
Celebrities like Rihanna, Miranda Kerr, and Angelina Jolie must have taken style tips from Kate Moss over the last few years. Get seemingly endless stems and make a bold and sultry statement with thigh high slits this New Year’s Eve. You’ll be sure to find your midnight kiss.
