Notable: Elevator Pitch (we just met on an elevator, we have 30 seconds together in the elevator, please describe your business):
Carola: The Tutu Collection by BUN exudes classical elegance. Consisting of 12 pieces, these thoughtfully handcrafted multi strand glass pearl necklaces are accented with Swarovski crystals, flown into The House of BUN from Austria. With classic names such as Berlioz, Madame Darling and Carola’s signature piece, Mademoiselle BUN, the Tutu Collection suggests romanticism and international flair.

Notable: Why did you get involved in your industry, why this one, what was the inspiration?
Carola:
Building businesses is what has always motivated me to do more. I love getting lost in the state of creation, it’s what I live for. My mother is in fact my greatest inspiration, followed closely with Coco Chanel whom one of my pieces has been named after. Classical music specifically allows me to drift off into the BUN fairytale that I’m infatuated with.

Notable: What is the best part of what you do on a day-to-day basis?
Carola: My favorite part of everyday is waking up in the morning and realizing this is no longer a dream, but very much a reality. To share a fairytale such as this, is so rewarding. Once a client tries on a piece of The Tutu Collection, they light up in awe!

Notable: What is the most challenging part of your job?
Carola:
Challenges are made to be tackled. Once a challenge presents itself, I find there is much excitement over creating a solution. The most prominent challenge I face on a daily basis is making people aware of BUN and the fairytales which lye within it.

Notable: Where do you see yourself going in 5 years?
Carola: I see BUN tackling the global market, and producing a line of clothing which has been in the making for the last few years! Top secret!

Notable: Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
Carola:
My advice for young professionals like myself, is to put your dreams in action. “Be the person you dream of being, do all the things that person would do, and reap the benefits of living the dream”.

Notable: What is your greatest asset as it relates to business?
Carola: My greatest asset is my family. My mother is my best friend and my step father and sister are the most loving people I know. As I am the sole investor of BUN, I am also very thankful for my job!

Notable: What does success look like to you?
Carola:
Many people think of “success” on a financial level. Success to me is doing what you love and loving what you do, while maintaining integrity while you do it.
