Tania Semper started eFashionista to bring the privileged worlds of Gossip Girl & Sex and the City to life. What does that mean exactly? Find out how she connects Canada’s fashionistas to the most must-have products, shops and services in today’s YEDaily…

Elevator Pitch: Describe your job in a nutshell.
I started eFashionista, an upscale event company dedicated to bringing the privileged worlds of Gossip Girl & Sex and the City to life. I connect fashionistas to Canada’s most sought-after products, shops and services, and incorporate them within my whimsical events and photoshoots.

I’m all about the little details, from the floral décor, to the stationary and candy table designs, right down to the tip of my stilettos. Creating untraditional, dreamy experiences is what I do best! Luxury bridal parties, custom media events, signature photoshoots, are amongst our services.

I’m taking my business up an “inch” by hosting a National “Baking in High Heels” tour. Fashionistas will get to experience eFashionista first-hand, learn to wear heels while baking, cake pop and cotton candy martini making. Here is a preview of our last event in Toronto, up next is Montreal!

Why did you start working at your company? What was the inspiration for this career route?
I’ve always been a go-getter, driven and highly creative. I didn’t like fitting in a box. I wanted to accomplish many things, meet many people and tap into various industries. That urge started at a very young age and today I finally have all the tools to make that happen!

What is the best part of what you do on a day-to-day basis? The most challenging part?
Finding new, innovative ways in differentiating myself from the competition. Designing, creating and executing event concepts is challenging, yet highly rewarding.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I don’t particularly like looking that far ahead, I am constantly reinventing myself, striving to become a better business owner, lover, daughter and friend, etc. I like going with the flow, I guess that’s what being a Pisces is all about!

What does success look like to you? Living a happy, healthy and well balanced lifestyle between work, love life, family and friends. Having financial freedom, the flexibility to travel when I please, helping those in need, and the ability to purchase those must-have heels without any constraints!

What is the most memorable milestone in your career? I’d have to stay that my most memorable milestone was the day a person in the industry, whom I’ve admired for quite some time, started copying my event ideas. That’s when I knew I’ve become a leader in my industry.

Do you have any advice for other young professionals? Follow your dreams and never give up. You can make someone else’s dreams come true or you can make your own, I chose the latter. If you’re ready to make sacrifices and reach for the stars, especially monetary, entrepreneurship is the way to. Keep in mind that some doors won’t open and others will shut in your face, but realize that these are blessings in disguise and move on.

Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is that important to you? There are so many great charities out there, I wish I could support them all. I would say that I am most involved in those against animal cruelty and environmental abuse. For example: WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals), The Sea Shepherd, Greenpeace & PETA.

eFashionista will be giving back! I’m all about living a lavish lifestyle, but that type of luxury doesn’t come easy for most. In an attempt to help women living in poverty; I’ve teamed up with Antoine Tavaglione, a Montreal painter, who will be donating a custom high heel painting for our “Baking in High Heels” tour, which will be available for auction. The funds will be donated to a local women’s shelter. You can learn more about our charitable cause here

Describe your ideal retirement: how old will you be and how do you plan on spending your retirement years? (Sponsored by the TD Redefine Retirement Contest)
Retire? Why would I want to retire? I love what I do. I plan on being involved in as many projects as humanly possible for as long as I can. Perhaps the appropriate question to ask is: “When do you plan on slowing down?” Never.

What are you looking forward to most about retiring? (Sponsored by the TD Redefine Retirement Contest)
My ultimate goal is to hustle as much as I can now, so that I can reap the benefits when I’m older. Being able to relax more and spend time with my husband, family and friends, entertaining, traveling, and attending charitable events would be at the top of my list.

What to you is notable? Anyone who dares to be different, challenges the status quo and gives back to their community in a big way.

Blackberry, iPhone, Android, or Other? iPhone all the way! I’m very active with social media, so iPhone’s capability to easily snap photos on the go and share them with fans using Twitter and Facebook simultaneously is key. It has most certainly simplified my life.
