Win Tickets to the 2014 WinSport Legacy Gala

#waybackwednesdays, #throwbackthursdays, #flashbackfridays -it’s no secret that we Millennials have a bit of a thing for nostalgia. And if you happen to have a soft spot for the 80s (we’re looking at you, Gen Xers), then you’re in luck.

‘Cause we’re giving away 12 tickets to the 2014 WinSport Legacy Gala on September 25th -and this year’s theme is taking us way, way back. Just sign up below and you could be hitting up the concert for free.

Looking to the past to support young athletes into the future, the second annual 2014 WinSport Legacy Gala will be inspired by the quintessential 80s flick -The Breakfast Club.

And what would the evening be without our favourite characters?

No, Molly Ringwald won’t be making an appearance -but Canadian Olympic legends taking on the roles of our beloved Breakfast Clubbers will be. (And, quite frankly, that sounds way more interesting to us. Sorry Molly.)

With some of the biggest names in Canada’s Olympic history, including two-time Olympic speed skating champion Catriona Le May Doan, Olympic bobsledder Justin Kripps, Olympic speed skater Gilmore Junio, figure skating gold medalist David Pelletier, and five-time Olympic women’s hockey player Hayley Wickenheiser appearing in full costume as the movie’s leading characters -we can pretty much guarantee you have never seen anything like this before.

But that’s not all.

Joining the all-star Breakfast Club cast, more than 50 world-class athletes will be in attendance to show their support for this incredible initiative, which donates all proceeds in support of Alberta’s aspiring athletes.

Hey – its not every day you get to schmooze with Olympians.

As the highlight of the evening, there will be a live concert featuring six iconic 80s bands, including Men Without Hats, Naked Eyes, Berlin, Animotion, Wang Chung, and Trans-X.

Sign up with us for your chance to win or get your guaranteed tickets here.

Let’s be honest -the only other way you’ll see this many 80s stars on one stage is with a time machine (or a VHS player), so we suggest you get your ticket while you still can.
