The Rio Theatre is set to present a free live televised broadcast of the 86th Annual Academy Awards with doors opening at 4pm. Featuring a fully licensed bar, contests during commercial breaks, Oscar trivia, awards for Best Costume, Best Acceptance Speech and a special prize for anyone able to correctly pick the top six Oscar categories, it’s guaranteed good times.
Head over to catch the glitz and glam of the Oscars on Vancity Theatre’s big screen and save room for plenty of decadence. Doors open for the party at 3:30pm with a red carpet pre-show followed by a cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres, Oscar-themed prizes, DJ and celebrity host for fun evening away from the couch.
