We don’t have to tell you that today is Cyber Monday, the online counterpart to Black Friday.
You’ve been bombarded with all the media reports, radio advertisements, and emails from some of the country’s biggest brands for weeks now.
Providing you can take a few minutes (or maybe more than a few) out of your workday to hop online, shopping on Cyber Monday makes a lot of financial sense: not only can you save dollars on your holiday gifts (and your family will assume you spent a lot more than you did), you can feel a little less guilty about splurging on yourself right before the holidays.
Here’s where you’ll find some of the best Cyber Monday finds:
Aritizia is offering up to 50 per cent off everything (even new arrivals) and free shipping with every order today. When scoring a few basics at the fun, female boutique chain will typically set you back a few hundred dollars on a regular day, a sale like this is not only rare for the brand, but may be the only time you can shop while on a tight budget.
It comes as no surprise that electronics giant Best Buy makes our list as offering some of the “best buys” this Cyber Monday (and Black Friday, for that matter). Until midnight tonight, the big box retailer will offer major Cyber Monday deals on everything from suitcases and vacuums to computers, speakers, cameras, and pretty much anything in between.

If you’re a stylish gent looking to step up your office wardrobe or holiday party game, Harry Rosen’s 5-day mega sale continues tonight until midnight. You’ll find deals of up to 60 per cent off things like dress shirts, footwear, tailored clothing, and casual wear (AKA all you need to look the part).

You could pretty much tackle your entire holiday gift list at Amazon Canada. The site is offering deals on books (and a coffee table book is always a great gift idea), electronics (including serious deals a HoverBoard for your nephew or an espresso machine for the parents), appliances, clothing, and more. Amazon will also offer free shipping on orders of $25 or more.
If Home Depot is your second home on the weekends (as it is for many new young DIY homeowners), you’re probably already familiar with every aisle – and the fact that the tab is always higher than you think it’s going to be. That’s why you may want to hop online to shop “the biggest deals they’ve ever uploaded,” like up to 50 per cent off outdoors finds, up to 40 per cent off lighting, and up to 35 per cent off furniture and décor (plus more).

For the fashion loving female on your list (or, if you happen to be a fashion-loving female yourself), a new purse or pair of shoes is always a good idea – especially if they happen to be designed by Tory Burch. If you shop their online holiday sale event, you’ll receive 30 per cent off purchases (including new arrivals) of $250 or more (and few things are below that price anyway), with the promo code “THANKS.”

When it comes to Cyber Monday in general, just remember to be smart. It can be a total buzzkill if you get scammed right before the holidays.
