What’s Open in Toronto on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Maybe you’re a bit of a Scrooge, maybe you don’t believe in it, but whatever your plans for the 24th and 25th, we thought we’d let you know what else you could be doing instead. So, here’s a list (for those both naughty and nice) of Toronto hotels restaurants, and bars that’ll be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

HOTELS
Most of the biggies will be fully operational both days but a few are also offering specials. Here are three examples of hotels doing a little something extra this holiday season:

Fairmont Hotel Royal York
4-course Christmas Eve dinner for $79
5-course Festive Christmas dinner featuring Live music for $99

Four Seasons Hotel Toronto
Cafe Boulud’s offering a 3-course Christmas Eve dinner for a cool $85.

Intercontinental Hotel Yorkville
Signatures Restaurant is doing dinner and will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Both nights will feature ‘a delicious holiday Table D’hote Dinner menu’.

RESTAURANTS/BARS

Morton’s The Steakhouse
Trading tradition for steak has never been easier. This legendary Toronto mainstay is open Christmas Eve from 4pm – 9pm.

Wabora
The Thompson Hotel’s sushi wonderland will be operating on regular hours both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Diasho
Momofuku’s delicious third floor will be offering a Christmas Eve prix-fixe for $65.

Clinton’s
John Candy once had a table permanently reserved at one of Toronto’s oldest continually run bars – how is that not enough for you!? On Christmas Eve they’ll be following their regular hours and on Christmas Day they’ll open their doors at 5pm and keep’em that way until 2am.

Destingo
Hit up this Queen West hot spot open on Christmas Eve for ‘a traditional Christmas feast of turkey and all the fixings’ for only $28.

7 West Cafe
What else could you expect from a place that never closes? Operating 24/7 is serious business – pop in on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day for some fine Yorkville comfort food.

Vaticano
This Italian eatery will be serving up its specialties on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day just the same as it does every other day of the year.

Pearl Harbourfront
Some of the best Chinese food you’ll find anywhere in Toronto can also be discovered and enjoyed on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. In fact, they open a half hour earlier (10:30am) on Christmas Day so you can get your dim sum fix even faster.

Aji Sai Japanese Restaurant
More sushi! Is there ever too much? Their Queen West location will be open both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Insomnia
Home of arguably the best home fries in the city and a martini selection that’s guaranteed to make any holiday merry, Insomnia will be treating Christmas Eve as a regular day and will open its doors at 6pm on Christmas Day

Gabby’s
There are 13 of these friendly pubs throughout the GTA but unfortunately only a few of them will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Best to call ahead to see if the one in your neighbourhood will be showing its customers some holiday love.

Fran’s
Their three locations throughout the city will be offering a special Christmas Dinner featuring roast turkey, plum pudding, and more for just $24.99. Of course, they’ll be fully operational on Christmas Eve as well!

And if you just can’t seem to stay off the social scene, the 22nd Annual Matzoball party will be happening Christmas Eve at Six Degrees.
