What’s On The Table Gives Foodies a Chance to Give Back

This is what you call a win-win.

The Stop‘s Community Food Centre has been dedicated to anti-hunger issues for over a decade, with their guiding principle being that healthy food is a basic human right that everyone should have access to. Their annual fundraising gala, coined What’s On The Table, takes place on November 5th at Daniels Spectrum.

And it’s the kind of event foodies wait all year for.

A variety of food and drink stations will be set up at the venue, allowing for an all-you-can-eat evening with the likes of chefs from O&B Canteen, Soma, Nadege, Richmond Station, Jamie Kennedy Kitchen, Monforte, The Stockyards, and many more.

The drinks will be flowing care of Coyote’s Run Winery, Chateau des Charmes, Cave Spring, Flat Rock, Steam Whistle, and more.

Live and silent auctions will take place throughout the evening, with the chance to grab amazing items such as trips to Fogo Island, a Tuscan Villa, Turks and Caicos, a professionally butchered half cow from Richmond Station and West Side Beef Co., dinner in your home with chef Chris Brown, artwork from some of the best Canadian artists, cookware, and kitchen appliances.

So if you’re looking for a chance to eat and drink from the best local chefs and wineries in Southern Ontario, surrounded by art, music, and talented young professionals – while helping put some of that food on the tables of others who would otherwise not have access to it – this is an event you don’t want to miss.

All proceeds from the event go directly to The Stop’s vital anti-hunger programming, giving those who in need dignified access to healthy food and nutritional education.
