We’re Beckoned to Bambudda’s Amazing Patio

In a city that has lovingly been dubbed ‘Raincouver’ for all the endless months of the wet stuff we seem to get, when the warmer temps approach Vancouverites are all about ditching the indoors in favour of a session in the sun. So with that in mind, when one of our newest favourites, Bambudda (99 Powell Street), announced the launch of not one but two patio options at its Crosstown location, we were notably thrilled.

We are already pretty familiar with Bambudda’s sunny sidewalk bar with its massive floor-to-ceiling wall that completely opens up onto the adjacent bustle.

It’s here where guests feel like they’re in on the action as they sit back and relax sipping one of Bambudda’s new summer cocktails courtesy of bartender Buck Friend, who has created a new seasonal list we’re already fans of.

Highlights include the shockingly coloured Bubble Tea (a bright blue gin and Curaçao concoction topped with fuschia hibiscus bubbles), Sum Yung Gai (a sparkling coupe of gin, cava, Maraschino and lavender syrup) and Secrets of a Geisha (a soft sipper of rum and Chambord topped with a lychee sake foam).

For those seeking a more intimate place to settle in on a date night, check out Bambudda’s red brick side patio situated at the corner of Powell and Columbia streets. With plenty of greenery courtesy of a canopy of trees overhead, you truly feel ensconced.

Nosh on new bites created by Chef Scott Korzack’s light and colourful menu featuring a fresh take on seasonal salads, tuna tartare with grapefruit, horseradish and tapioca crackers, or a fresh asparagus salad with Asian pear and kohlrabi.

Next time you’re in need of a little escape within the city, head to Bambudda for some serious culinary spoiling and relaxation.  Check out their full menu listings and learn more here.
