Welcome to Miami: Toronto is Throwing a Cuban-Style South Beach Party

Miami’s the best – especially when you don’t have to deal with customs to get the amazing vibe.

On October 28 and 29, South Beach’s Cuban flare is heading north for a two-day pop-up restaurant and chef collaboration to celebrate the spirit of Bacardí – literally.

Stop by Cold Tea (60 Kensington Ave.) for a Cuban-inspired, family-style feast created by Toronto’s always-entertaining Matty Matheson (Parts & Labour) and Miami’s Chef Eileen Andrade (Finka Table & Tap).

In timely fashion, there’ll even be some Bat Flips making the rounds:

Bacardí Bat Flip
2oz Bacardí Maestro
1oz molasses infused simple syrup
.5oz half and half cream
Egg white from one egg
Grated lime zest garnish, shaken and served in a coupe.

The ticket price ($75) covers entry plus all food and cocktails until last call, all of which will be complemented by exceptional live music and Latin dancing.

That’s four hours of bat flips, Cuban fare, and any flare you can bring to the dance floor.
