Admit it: you’ve thought about how cool a wearable camera would be.
Like teleportation, it’s one of those things you’ve been hoping some Bill Gates types would have invented by now.
Well, the wait is over – those smartypants have gone and done it.
BLINCAM is a wearable camera that attaches to any pair of eyeglasses and takes photos with the blink of an eye.
It’s currently in the funding phase of production, with half of its target fulfilled.
Equally cool and concerning, BLINCAM captures photos at a wink detection rate of 90 per cent with no delay. Photos are automatically loaded on a smartphone app or can be transferred to a computer via USB.
The winking camera is expected to hit the market in April 2017, giving lawmakers ample time to figure out how to deal with its ramifications.
