Watch the First Official Trailer for ‘The X-Files’ Reboot

By now, you’ve probably heard that your Friday night favourite from back in the day, The X-Files, is coming back in a whole new way.

Fox is set to debut the all-new X-Files revival for fans at New York Comic Con on October 10.

After months of anticipation from lovers of the sci-fi thriller TV series, the network finally released the official trailer for the show last night during episodes of Gotham and Minority Report. The first part aired during Gotham, while the second followed during Minority Report.

Though this isn’t the first in-air spot for the upcoming series, this does mark its first full-length trailer. And it looks good – not to mention, so do Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (David Duchovny), who seem to have barely aged since the original show wrapped in 2002.

The first spot opens with a voiceover by Mulder, which states that in 2002, his investigation may have ceased, but his “personal obsession didn’t.” Juicy. He has work to do – but can’t do it alone. That’s where his trusted partner Scully comes in.

Check out both parts of the trailer now.

The X-Files returns Jan. 24, 2016, on Fox. Personally, I can’t think of a better way to spend a dead-of-winter Sunday night.
