Video: This May Just Have Been the Best Moment at All of Osheaga

The verdict is in.

This year’s Osheaga was said to be one of the most positive and beautiful yet.

While there were many memorable moments from this weekend’s festivities –  from a powerful performance by Florence and the Machine to Kendrick Lamar commanding the crowd like a true hip-hop champ – the real stand out for us was during the Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros Set.

Say what you will about the eccentric singer and his odd set (that received mixed reviews), at the end of it all, he captured all of our hearts with one moment.

While Alex Ebert whistled, “If I Were Free,” a man in a wheelchair was raised above the crowd and brought over to the stage. Ebert singled for him to be brought onstage and after much effort, it was accomplished. Ebert then spent the rest of the set next to the man and his friends signing alongside him while tears of happiness could be seen all over the faces of the man’s friends, family, and the crowd.

Words can’t really describe the impact of this moment so we have the video for you below.

Music conquers all.

Avoir les larmes aux yeux. Un des plus beaux moments du weekend. #osheaga
