Politics may not be very funny, but Barack Obama certainly is.
Or, at least, he hires better joke writers than he does advisors (boom! clap!).
From claiming that he has something that rhymes with ‘a bucket list’ for his last two years in office, to referencing Joe Biden’s infamous shoulder massages, the President was in fine form behind the podium.
Of course, bringing along Keegan-Michael Key (from comedy show, Key and Peele) in his ‘Luther’ character certainly didn’t hurt either.
Check out Obama’s full speech below. And for good measure, watch the dinner’s host, SNL’s Cecily Strong, also deliver perfect lines like:
“It’s great to be here at the Washington Hilton…is something a prostitute might say to a congressman.”
And:
“Since I’m only a comedian I’m not going to try to tell you politicians how to do politics or whatever. That’s not my job. That would be like you guys telling me what to do with my body. I mean, can you even imagine?”
