Vancouver’s Most Notable Brunch Spots

We’re always looking for noteworthy spots to check out when it comes time to dine…and one of our favourite excuses to grab a bunch of friends and head out for a bite has got to be brunch. We’ve rounded up a few different picks for this post all offering up something a bit stylishly different.

Brunch with a view

Fraiche Restaurant will offer you and your breakfast buddies a view of the city set within an elegant, simplistic and sophisticated space. With a menu that consistently offers the freshest of locally-sourced ingredients combined to create incredible dishes, Fraiche is seriously top-notch and will more than satisfy your cravings. Brunch is served from 10am until 3pm and reservations are recommended. Preview the menu here

High tea-style brunch

Take tea and eats in style and enjoy brunch at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, one of our favourite classy spots for a late breakie in YVR. The hotel’s famous ‘Griffins’ restaurant offers a custom omelette station, an endless number of Eggs Benny’s, fresh seafood, fruit and baked goods to satisfy those comfort food cravings. This classic brunch spot has long been tradition for Vancouverites since it began in the early 1900s at this landmark hotel.

Brunch by the beach

Looking for something a bit more low-key? We suggest you check out West Vancouver’s sleepy Dundarave area for brunch with a beachfront view courtesy of The Beachhouse Restaurant. This converted heritage home is cozy, west coast chic, cozy and comfortable, with a brunch menu loaded with all those staples you inevitably crave. Order up a few rounds of their signature Mimosas to start things off and take in the stunning oceanfront scene that surrounds you. Once you’ve polished off your plate, stroll along the waterfront walkway or cruise Marine Drive for a bit of Sunday sight-seeing in this upscale neighbourhood.

Brunch by the bay

If you’re up for a bit more of a cruise along the coast in West Van, might we suggest you head toward Horseshoe Bay and find yourself a table at The Boathouse Restaurant for a relaxed take on weekend brunch. On a sunny Saturday or Sunday, take in the oceanside scene of ferries coming and going, boaters setting sail and people meandering about this picturesque west coast gem. Surrounded by a mix of manicured properties and rugged shoreline, you’ll feel all but transported for a few hours.
