Located just underneath the cross streets of Granville and West Hastings, One/Under Urban Golf Club (now you understand the name a little more), is the city’s first virtual golf restaurant and bar.
Five simulator bays allow everyone from the golf fanatic to the I-don’t-know-what-a-bunker is to play the top courses in the world.
That’s right – St. Andrew’s Castle Course, Pebble Beach, Bethpage Black, and Pacific Sands are now all within reach of one of your bad drives.
But, don’t worry, it won’t be all golf, all the time. One/Under will also be playing other sports on their flat screens too.
Chef Reuben Major has been brought in to deliver a menu worth craving – think: spicy sausage and sopresatta pizza – and our mouths were watering. An impressive wine, cocktail, and beer selection is also reason enough to duck out of the office for a well-deserved break.
The space, almost completely overhauled, has been outfitted with classic plaid benches, a beer tap built-in to the wall, and cool artwork. Nike clubs are majestically lined up just waiting to be swung.
The only parts of the building left untouched are the historic flooring and wooden beams – and they only add to the boys club feel.
Though notable ladies are equally excited. Instagram followers are already commenting about booking their next birthday (as in 2015) and Christmas gatherings at One/Under.
With nothing else like this in Vancouver, we’re definitely ready to hit up a round or two. One/Under Urban Golf Club is getting its finishing touches and will offically open their doors this week.
