It’s hot as hell outside, and Uber has just the solution. Today, Torontonians can use their smartphones to summon ice cream trucks on demand! This means cool treats delivered at the tap of a button; Uber will partner with local ice cream trucks to offer bundles of treats for you to share with friends, co-workers, or your significant other.
Regular Uber service – a Smartphone app that lets riders connect with safe, stylish, and efficient transportation options (but, of course, we know all about this already) – will still be running. Ice cream trucks are an added bonus for what’s sure to be a hot and humid day.
Here are the basics:
– Happens TODAY, July 19th.
– Download the Uber app for iPhone or Android
– Request the “Ice Cream” option via your app
– If a truck is available, you and your friends will be enjoying sweet treats and Uber swag within minutes
– Ice cream trucks will be on the road from 11am to 5pm TODAY.
– In Toronto, soft serve from Mrs. Softy will be on offer: $25 for 5 people.
– No cash required! Your ice creams will be charged directly to your Uber account.
