Twelve New Retailers Set to Open at Yorkdale This Year

Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre is definitely on a roll. It’s no secret that Yorkdale has undergone major renovation over the past few years, highlighted by Kate Spade’s first Canadian store, the opening of West Coast favourite JOEY’s and the country’s first retail locations for Ann Taylor and Ted Baker. But the fun doesn’t stop at last year’s $220-million price tag; in 2013, Yorkdale will welcome six first-to-Canada stores and three that will have their first residency in Toronto.

You can forget trips to New York State. Toronto shoppers will be delighted to find world-class shopping at their footsteps as Yorkdale gets set to unveil All Saints, David Yurman, John Varvatos, Mulberry, White House|Black Market and Zara Home sometime this year. Other notable additions to the mall will include Ferragamo, Massimo Dutti, Brandy Melville, honey and Stuart Weitzman. If kids are in your cards, you’ll be delighted to know LEGO will also be opening the doors of its 10oth global store.

If that’s not enough to get you excited for 2013’s Christmas shopping season, rounding out the mall’s fall schedule is a massive expansion of Harry Rosen (30,000-square feet) along with a doubling in size for Holt Renfrew. The Bay will also be revealing a major renovation. The mall is cool again, indeed.
