When Thompson Hotel opened up in Toronto, it was as if our prayers had been answered. Not only are we satisfied with this hot spot that houses three must-try restaurant’s, a killer bar and one of the best roof top patios we’ve seen, but it also made us all the more excited for other heavy hitting hotels opening up in Toronto. Notable is here to keep Young Professionals in the know. Here are the hotels opening up in Toronto in 2011 and 2012 that are on our radar:
1) The Ritz-Carlton Luxury Hotel: The luxurious Toronto hotel just opened their doors this week. To be noted: The TOCA Bar on the lobby level offers over 60 still wines by the glass.
2) Trump International Hotel & Tower: Set to open in Spring 2011, the hotel towers over 60 stories above Toronto, boasting of panoramic views of the city. To be noted: The hotel houses a high tech business centre, that features an acoustically-insulated, lush, private directors screening room.
3) Shangri-La Hotel: Set to open in 2012. To be noted: Home of the CHI Spa, which will offer a range of specialized body, water, massage and facial therapies based on the ancient healing traditions, philosophies and rituals of China and the Himalayas.
4) Four Seasons: Set to open mid 2012. Still in Yorkville, shifting but 400 yards from its current location. To be noted: Raise your pinkies and experience the delightful afternoon tea, which has become synonymous with the hotel.
