Toronto Transformed

When asked what makes one Canadian, many Canadians are at a loss for an adequate answer. Some respond that it is Canada’s multiculturalism that defines us, others use our contrasts with the U.S. as examples of what defines us, and yet an overwhelming sense of Canadiana seems to elude us. Until now. Thanks to the Steam Whistle Brewery and their Toronto Transformed exhibition, we will scarcely be at a loss for memories of our defining history again. Throughout the month of November, the brewery will be featuring images of our beloved Canadian city then and now. The exhibit will feature images of Toronto, some almost 100 years old, contrasted with images of the same scenes of our city in modern day, taken with modern photographic tools: a digital camera. Nothing evokes a sense of pride like visual evidence of progression achieved by our ancestors. Don’t miss this.
