Toronto Now Has the First Official ‘Nutella Cafe’ in Canada

Sobeys has launched a Nutella cafe, effectively putting its ‘Eat Healthy’ initiative to rest in one fell swoop.

The delicious, hazelnut-y shop opened today at the grocery chain’s Urban Fresh location on Spadina Avenue in Toronto and offers pretty much everything you can put Nutella on, within, around, or in combination with. This includes, but is not limited to, pastries and artisan breads like bombe, aragosta, zeppole, pizelle, and all-butter croissants and danishes.

Oh, and crepes. Definitely lots of crepes.

To balance the abundantly sweet with some bitter, the cafe also features a decent selection of lattes, americanos, and cappuccinos. Considerate, though we can’t help but feel the lack of Nutella beverages is a huge missed opportunity. We want to be able to gleefully exceed our daily recommended intake of irresistible processed sugars and saturated fats in liquid form, damn it!

The cafe is decidedly more to-go than ‘grab a spoon and stay for the afternoon’, and will be open daily from 7am to 9pm at Sobeys’ 22 Fort York Blvd location.

New addition to our Sobeys .. Not mad about it ☺️ (First in Canada) #NutellaXSobeys
