Toronto is Getting Its First Year Round Indoor Ski and Snowboard Hill

If you’re among the small minority of people who were actually sad when it stopped snowing in April and May, we have some good news for you.

Toronto is getting its first indoor snow hill, so if you like to shred some fresh powder and don’t want to wait until next season, you won’t have to leave the GTA.

The Axis Freestyle Academy is Canada’s first all-in-one, year-round dry slope freestyle training facility for skiing and snowboarding.

The project has been fully funded is on track to open in spring 2016 in Vaughan. The 20,000-foot academy will be furnished with high performance trampolines and a variety of ropes, jumps, foam pits and rails.

It’ll even come equipped with a gym and multi-purpose yoga studio. Plus, the indoor ski and snowboard park will be accepting job applications from skiers and snowboarders.

They’re currently hiring coaches, front desk staff, photographers, and video editors, as well as graphic designers and pro-shop staff.

Whistler’s got nothing on us now.
